Simple...take the left to Barton and follow through till it brings you back onto the A1
Its come to my attention from 31/08/2023 AND 01/09/2023 20:00 to 06:00
A1(M)-Northbound
A1M northbound Jct 57 to Jct 58 carriageway closure including exit slip road closure
Which is this, so not an issue, just go normal as only North Bound closed, or take Barton.
But in the more details we have this
A1M northbound and southbound Jct 56 to Jct 59, A66M eastbound and westbound carriageway closures 24hr layby closures, lane closures, 24hr lane closures and speed restrictions for safety barrier renewal scheme.[/color]
PHEW!!!! I've looked and its doable...BEFORE even attempting this, CHECK the ROAD is open with GOOGLE.....BUT be careful as I've ran through google street view and the first part is tight with a lot of road furniture or over hanging trees, then it clears up. (ME, I'd go slow, high beams on and straddle lanes) I have driven through worse in Slough with Rob Mourne - To say that was tight would be a gross understament, it was chuffing TIGHT....
Basically instead of continuing forward to the A1(M) you can turn lef onto the A6055 and continue down till you pick up the first roundaboud, ignore the A1 North and continue to the A66 Scotch Corner and come back onto the A1(M) at Junction 43
A66 closed to Doncaster or A1
